Sculptures in the Hortus Botanicus
Exhibition design. The Amsterdam Sculptors’ Collective commissioned a sculpture exhibition in the Hortus of Amsterdam.
There are two problems that need to be addressed:
- The images are very different from each other in every way and therefore cannot simply be put together.
- The Hortus is completely full of plants, so there is little space for the statues and they are difficult to find.
The solution: A 270-metre ellipse connects the images. At the intersection of path and ellipse, the visitor finds a statue. In-house execution by collective.
